Chevell Legal Fee Structure

Fixed fee or by the hour – depending on your needs. Our fees for drawing documents are generally fixed fees.

Examples of fixed fee court drafting:

1.	Consent Orders	Between $1,500 and $2,500 plus GST
2.	Divorce Applications	From $500 plus GST
3.	Initiating Application (or Response) Affidavit, Financial Statement, Notice of Risk	From $3,000 to $5,000 per package
4.	Affidavits per page, per draft	From $100 per page
5.	Document Creation	From $200 per page
6.	Telephone Consults	Initial 20 minutes for free

Other fixed fee charges are payment by the task rather than the hour. Task based charges avoid unexpected bills as the cost is known prior to the event. For example:

The cost of our attendance to represent you at an interim court hearing before a registrar in a property and financial proceeding can be a fixed fee item.

The cost of our representation of you at any contested hearing can be a fixed fee.

The cost of our representation at trial can be a fixed fee.

Representation at various stages of the dispute can also be fixed fee.

Our representation by the hour is also negotiable and is more suitable when the issues in dispute are not well defined or there is likely to be multiple elements to the proceeding with multiple parties, complex issues or very difficult opponents.

We are always willing to discuss a fee structure with you to make sure you are fully aware of the costs involved with litigation before you make the decision to engage legal representation.

GST is additional if applicable.

Our hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday by appointment.
